KUKFO (Kukolny Format, translated from Russian as Puppet Format Theatre) is a creative association of young artists, producers and actors from St. Petersburg, Russia. This group of people has set for themselves the task of keeping up the historically high level of puppet theatre art in this city.

Not having a permanent residence as of today, KUKFO performs on various St. Petersburg stages. This, however, is not a problem for a puppet theatre. In fact, it is an age-old tradition of St. Petersburg’s street organ-grinders and Petrushka performers that KUKFO has inherited.
